Program Description:
Delft University of Technology (TU Delft)
Delft, The Netherlands

About the Institution
Delft University of Technology is a modern university of science and technology with a rich tradition. Ranked among the top universities of engineering and technology in the world (#19, QS 2015) TU Delft’s excellent research and education standards are backed by outstanding facilities, research institutes and research schools. TU Delft maintains close links with (inter)national industry, a strategic alliance contributing to the relevance of its academic programmes and career prospects for its students.

TU Delft is leading the way in research into technological innovations, contributing to scientific advancement in the interests of society, with research emphases in energy, environment, health and infrastructure.

TU Delft Campus
TU Delft is located in the university district (TU-wijk) of the historic city of Delft in the Netherlands. Beyond the medieval church towers, there are many impressive university buildings, laboratories, classrooms and offices. They are built in the newly opened Mekelpark, which constitutes a truly green car-free heart of the campus where you can study in pleasant surroundings, take a leisurely stroll and meet your friends. Most of the streets around the campus heart are named after scholars who laid the foundation of the university’s success. The university’s philosophy, facilities and pleasant environment all contribute to its excellent academic atmosphere.HOW

GE3 WORKS
Global E3 is a consortium of universities with strong engineering programs around the world. These universities agree to exchange students between their various campuses. Unlike a program, students are not guaranteed participation at a particular location but instead Global E3 will match students based on their preferences and coursework requirements to a school within the consortium. This means students, while they can apply to a particular program and location, must keep an open mind. The CGE will work with students to secure additional course permissions if necessary.

Each university listing includes:
  • engineering disciplines available
  • languages of instruction
  • start and end dates for academic study
  • a link to each university's home page which includes housing information
Students may also have the opportunity to take intensive language study and perhaps undertake an internship or research experience in the host country depending on location.
