2020 PROGRAM CANCELED DUE TO COVID - 19

Priority application deadline for the program is April 1st, 2020. Applications completed after April 1st will be considered space permitting. Students interested in an internship, however, should complete their applications in January or as early as possible, as some internships fill by mid-February and during some academic years we are wait-listing for the Legal Internship Course by early to mid-March. An application is completed only upon payment of the application fee.

In the summer of 2020, the University of Tulsa’s summer program in Dublin will enjoy its twenty-second year of operation as an ABA-accredited study abroad program.

OUR PROGRAM - THE TU INSTITUTE IN EUROPEAN AND INTERNATIONAL LAW

The Dublin program, held June 5 – July 5, 2020, welcomes students in good standing from any accredited American or Canadian law school who have completed the first year of legal study, full-time or part-time; students studying for an LL.M.; as well as any attorney admitted to the practice of law in those countries.  The program offers:
  • The chance to earn up to 6 credit hours in a broad range of courses – International Intellectual Property, European Union Constitutional Law, European Union Economic Law, International Cybersecurity Law, International and Comparative Children’s Rights, and the Legal Internship Course
  • An opportunity to participate in four-week internships with Irish barristers and solicitors
  • A faculty of Irish and American scholars and teachers who are also experienced practitioners
  • Affordable ABA-approved, 6-credit summer program in Dublin.

UCD – OUR HOME IN DUBLIN
 
sheepOur classroom and program housing are located on the Belfield campus of University College Dublin, a 15 minute bus ride (4 km) from city center.  Classes are held in a modern classroom in UCD Sutherland School of Law, with wi-fi internet access.  UCD School of Law is ranked in the top 100 law schools in the world.  UCD campus is home to over 30,000 students during the regular academic year and has all the facilities you would expect at a major university, including a student union, library, small convenience stores, a state-of-the-art sports facility with an Olympic-sized pool, restaurants, and a student pub.  Students and the Program Director reside on-campus in six-room suites with a common living room and kitchen.  Each student will have an individual bedroom and a private bathroom.  Students have the option to find their own housing in Dublin.
