Housing Information
UNSW offers two types of accommodation: colleges and apartments. Colleges are more similar to dorms while apartments are similar to apartments here at TU.
Living in one of the 6 colleges owned and operated by UNSW, you’ll be immersed in a truly inclusive and supportive environment that fosters academic excellence, community participation and social engagement. You’ll have the support of an on-site team comprising of the Dean, Deputy Dean and a team of Resident Fellows/Assistants. Every floor has an RF/RA, and their job is to provide academic guidance and pastoral support, ensuring each and every resident is looked after. Academically, you’ll have access to a college-wide tutorial program.
With a carefully balanced social calendar, academic support, opportunities for community engagement and the chance to assume leadership positions in your college, life on campus is rewarding, exciting and helps to lay the foundations for the rest of your life. Living in one of the 4 apartment units owned and operated by UNSW, you’ll be able to experience independent living within a community experience. There are studios and flat-shares available and even options for couples and families with children. Community Assistants are current UNSW students who live on site at each apartment complex (excluding High Street) and their role is to engage with students, facilitate social activities and act as the first point of contact should any issues arise. If you're a little bit older or prefer more independence and freedom... apartment life may be for you!
